We never ask that question about the pain and suffering of a life term sentence for someone who has committed murder — because, we understand it was a consequence of their actions, and we reason that they deserve it as a result of what they did. It may seem strange and even unfair, but God might be answering your prayers in a round-about way. Why does God let people suffer? Question: "Why does God allow people to be disabled / handicapped?"
